Gamelan : Lesson in Javanese Music

This is a few shots I took during Music class today...

CRAP!

Today, 16 March 2009. Remember this date.

The day I scratched my first car.

Today I parked behind school to unload some things and when I got back, more cars were parked in the

dead end.

So instead of making a 3-point turn, I made a 9083475-point turn. (Don't laugh)

It was raining and I didn't see a trolley on the right of the car... I really just didn't see it.

And then BANG!

I HIT IT. (Don't laugh)

I was too embarrassed to stop.... and because there were a few juniors behind me. (Don't laugh)

I am, now and always, the worst driver in the world.

MONEY

Where did it all go?

The Sandwich

The Humble Sandwich....
In every culture, there is always some kind of bread (or wrap), stuffed with meat and veggies:
China - Pau
Germany - Hotdog
Italy - Panini
USA - Hamburger
Greece - Souvlaki
So don't under estimate the humble sandwich the next time you sink your teeth into one...
Here's a site that will keep your mouth watering....
Thanks JY for the heads up, why didn't I think of this before?
I'm suddenly thinking of turkey ham, crunchy cress, topped with sweet and tangy honey-dijon in a freshly-toasted baguette.
HUNGRY YET?

How can anyone resist the Manga-esque prints and kawaii-cuteness colours?

More Tokyo...

SUSHI
Lovely sushi at a small family-owned restaurant in Ota-Ward, an industrial district in Tokyo.

A rainy evening at Akihabara!

Jason Mraz

Jason Mraz was amazing last night at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. I must admit that was never really a fan although I did occasionally enjoy a few of his more popular tunes.
After dancing along to his concert, 14 rows in front of the stage, I must say...
I am now a convert.
He showed off with his vocal aerobics when he pitched himself against his very talented saxophonist. His pitch perfect performance was more than impressive to say the least.
Overall, his quirky humour and the backup from his extremely talented band made for a very enjoyable night.
I'm sure the screaming girl (and the guy too) behind me enjoyed herself as well!
Mraz did sound a bit like a hippie when he monologued with the audience between songs.
But I guess this is all part of his charm.

Haraju-kukujiao: Harajuku, Asakusa & Prada!

Doesn't she remind you of one of those cupcake dolls? The ones that you can invert their skirts and they magically turn into a cupcake? Don't pretend like you don't know what I'm saying!!!

Harajuku was seriously out of this world....

Prada's bubble wrap walls!

We had this at Asakusa.... So yummy! So maybe not ALL Japanese food is healthy... but somehow, the Japanese make you forget about calories and think all their food is good for you!
