Camera Dreams

Yes, even your techno-doofus friend
is capable of some sort of digital-fantasizing.
My new eye-candy is the E-P1 Olympus Pen.
No, don't ask me for technical specifications
but I just love the fact that it takes SLR-esque pictures in such a handbag-friendly frame, not to mention its eye-candy appeal!
Love love.

On a different note, the Qing Hua Diana F+
is a much more affordable option but no, it will never be an alternative!
This is probably the best looking version of the Diana F+ kit in my opinion.
Designed by illustrator Dorophy Tang,
this pretty plastic is the newest of the highly successful Diana series.

Blame me for indulging in a little eye-candy!

Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa, Penang

View of Feringgi Beach from our private balcony
A sketch of the room floor plan.

Photo of a similar room, taken from Shangri-La

We stayed in room 2538 which is located on the top floor of the Rasa Wing. The room was Ginormous!! The 667sqft room was an open plan room with a private balcony which had a large soaking tub where the staff could draw a bath with exotic bath salts and rose petals! So you can soak in the tube while enjoying the wonderful view of Feringgi Beach and the gardens of the Shangri-La estate.
I miss the place... and how the sound of the waves made me fall asleep...

complete with scones with fresh cream!

We stayed in the Rasa Wing, which means we could use the Rasa Wing Lounge where they served juices all day long, as well as wonderful sweets, pastries and canapes with cocktails. Breakfast was also served exclusively for guests of the Rasa Wing at Feringgi Grill.

Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa, Penang - Food Part 1

Asam Laksa (room service)
Char Kway Teow by the beach!

Bruschetta at Pinang poolside restaurant

My entire 2 night trip in Penang and I did not step out of my hotel. In Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa, I guess there was no need to! Here's some of the food we had at the resort!

Penang - 11 Fishes

I just got back from a 2 night trip to Penang with my parents. My dad and I had a fishing trip at the beach arranged for us by the hotel.
In 3 hours, we caught 11 fishes!!! The fisherman on the beach helped me remove the hook from one of the catfish but he got stung by its fin! We attracted a small crowd of people who stood around to look at our catch. A man from KL said 10 of them can be eaten but one tak boleh makan! In the end, we gave the fishes away to one of the guys who gave us shelter when there was a a drizzle that afternoon.
I don't know why I love fishing so much. I am not good at it but I just find it very gratifying. It is funny how someone's livelihood is a leisure activity for someone else....
Next up... anyone want to catch some sailfish with a 10kg tackle? Haha...

It was a portable turntable and vinyl archiver!
This Numark vinyl player not only plays LPs
But it can also record them stright into your iTunes!
So excited that I can't stop playing A Hard Day's Night and I'm Into Something Good.
Thanks Owen!!!

Shigeru Ban, Nicholas, Vincent and Diana

I found a roll of 60mm film rolling in one of my bags....
And these are the surprises I forgot I even took!
I think digital cameras provide a lot of convenience and cost savings from having to process film but it also takes away the element of surprise when you get your pictures.
These are from my Diana...
