Field Trip to Liverpool
A short few hours in Liverpool wasn't even enough to touch the surface. There was too much to see and do and the weather yesterday did not help. See Jia and I struggled to hold on to our brollies while the rain poured and the wind tried to invert them (which it did, several times). Unfortunately, I wasn't able to hold up my camera while trying to keep myself from potentially catching a cold. I ran through the Beatles Exhibition and only saw part of the collection at Tate Liverpool. At the TATE, I was really glad I managed to see one Edgar Degas, but beyond Dada and Surrealism, I could not help but wonder if there was a way to distinguish artistic talent and pure derangement. The highlight of the trip of course was the Corb Exhibition which was placed in the crypt of a Catholic Cathedral. In the exhibition, SJ and I found a highly amusing photograph of Le Corbusier and Albert Einstein... made me wonder what kind of conversations they shared... I think I need to go back to Liverpool... |
