LADY GAGA

I just got back from the Lady Gaga concert. I am probably the furthest from a Lady Gaga fan but please excuse my ignorance, the only song I knew is Poker Face, from her one and only album which title I did not even know till just now.

I must say I did enjoy the show. Firstly, Owen chose a great spot in the body-packed Fort Canning, at the corner, next to the Botak Jones tent, a couple of feet from Mr. Jones himself grilling burgers!!

Secondly, Lady Gaga did put on a show! Her energetic performance was interjected with videos of her alter ego character - Candy Warhol. The videos featured strong visual elements related to the works of Warhol. The moving images were simply eye candy that seemed to come from a high fashion magazine (the haute couture crazy unwearables, not the Mark Jacobs ready-to-wears)... Honestly, I did not have the mental capability to decode her eccentricities but it was really entertaining!

The performance was crazy, Lady Gaga was totally crazy! Hearing her play the piano/keyboard was probably the most enjoyable part; seeing her play it was even more interesting as she contorted her body in which resembled yoga poses (difficult poses like Lord of the Dance pose and Warrior III pose) while she wildly banged Poker Face on the keys. Oh and I also must mention that for a tiny girl (from where I was watching the concert, she was really tiny, just about 3/4 of my little finger when I stretched my arm out) she was insanely energetic as she flicked her hair around like she was endorsing Head and Shoulders shampoo.

It was an experience. I am glad I went.
Thanks Owen!

PS: Unfortunately despite her many costume changes, she did not appear in her Kermit outfit (Sorry Jon)
