Carluccio's
I had lunch with Uncle David and Auntie Judy... And they brought me to one of the best Italian place ever. Casual, with sunlight streaming in from the large windows, it felt more like a heart family Sunday brunch setting! There are actually many Carluccio's around that serves up exceptional hearty Italian meals, the most famous one being their restaurant at Covent Garden. Antipasto Massimo! Focaccia, Napoli and Milano salami, roast ham, stuffed chicken, fresh green bean salad with mint, caponata, oven-roasted tomatoes, peppers and olives. The Daily Special - Seafood Risotto Linguine Al Frutti Di Mare Linguine pasta with squid rings, mussels, clams and prawns with garlic, herbs and chilli. Penne Giardiniera Pugliese penne with courgette, chilli, and deep fried spinach balls with parmesan and garlic. The focaccia was the best I have ever tried. The oven-roasted tomatoes were awesome too. I had the Penne as my main and it was amazing!!! The portions are huge and I could not even finish what was on my plate. |
